INDIVIDUAL RELATIONSHIP COUNSELING IN NJ
Therapy for people who want to thrive in all of life’s relationships.
Is conflict the only constant in your relationship with your partner?
Struggling to find the fulfilling romantic relationship you want?
Feel unhappy at work because of your relationship with your boss?
Feel obligated to keep saying “yes” to family and friends?
When our relationships feel out of sync or unfulfilling, often the rest of life does, too. You may feel tired of bending over backwards for everyone else and ready to start setting boundaries that put yourself first. You might be feeling resentful of the people close to you or noticing the ways the experiences from your past are impacting the way you show up today. Or maybe you just know something’s “off” in your relationships, but you don’t know how to change it.
Healthier relationships with others begin with a healthier relationship with yourself.
Relationships are the cornerstones of our lives. If you’re noticing things like self-doubt, resentment, or anxiety when relating to the important people in your life, then taking the time to look at what’s going on internally is often the most productive place to start.
In therapy, we’ll unpack your story—where you’ve come from, as well as the societal and cultural norms at play—and begin exploring how those things have influenced the way you’re feeling today. This is a place to practice sharing who you are and saying things out loud, helping you gain confidence in doing so outside of the therapy space, too.
Together, we can work on:
Improving communication & navigating difficult conversations
Setting healthy boundaries that protect your time & energy
Making decisions about current relationships
Cultivating healthy romantic, family, friend, & professinonal relationships
Understanding how past experiences have impacted you
Prioritizing your own wellbeing and advocating for your needs
The path to healthier relationships starts here.
